Patience and getting into the Union

When I was growing up, we didn’t have a lot of money, and to be honest, there were sometimes gunshots every night as I would go to bed. Things are different now, even though I’m not rich by any stretch of the imagination. It’s taken about seven years of script supervising, but I finally made it into the union and I’ve been getting called in on a big TV show. I admit that at first, I thought I was going to be the second unit, but it ended up being like the main unit thing. So I have, you know, a big job on set and I’m really excited about it and I’m crossing my fingers that I get called back again. I was called back a second time, so I’m hoping that I just keep getting called back over and over and over again. And right now, I just got off another show with the creator of something really big. This particular project was a low budget because it was a passion project.

It’s important to be patient when you’re working towards a goal. I wanted to get into the union and it didn’t happen right away, but I didn’t quit and now I’ve made it and I have new goals to aspire to.
